COME JOIN THE KUNCEL RESEARCH LAB ! ! !

Members of the 2003-2004 Kuncel Lab

What are some of the things that undergraduate research assistants (RAs) in our lab generally do?

•  Assist graduate RAs in running study sessions and recruiting subjects for our studies •  Perform literature searches, collections and returns.
•  Sort critical incidents. •  Collect and input data.
•  Proofread documents. •  Document reproduction.

We have office and lab facilities in Elliott Hall.  Our facilities include computing resources, and we provide materials that you need to accomplish your work.

My graduate students and I discuss with undergraduate RAs the projects on which they and undergraduate RAs are working and why they are significant.  We consider our lab group to be both friendly and professional.

Please note that undergraduates who wish to become lab RAs must register for PSY 4993 for a letter grade. For the registration process itself, please consult the Psychology Department's Undergraduate Advising Office (Elliott N105; e-mail: psyadvis@umn.edu; tel: 612-625-8520). As part of your learning experience, you will write a 5-page, APA-style paper on a topic related to the lab's research.

If you are interested in a position as an undergraduate research assistant, please contact either me (Nathan) at kunce001@umn.edu or David Klieger (one of my graduate students) at klie0019@umn.edu.

We look forward to hearing from you!
